Congratz Taylor for making it.I was right,hehe.A little lazy to write anything else so i’ll just finish everything here.

The Top2 of American Idol.Taylor Hicks,the singer with an old soul.Katharine McPhee,the balladeer with an angel like face.

Here’s My Analysis

Katharine McPhee

She has a beautiful voice ,she can sing low like nobody’s business but needs to work on her upper register as it tends to run thin and sounds a little shrilly.When she sings soft and melodic songs,thats when she’s the best.

Her voice control and breathing is almost perfect,one of the best in the show.Sometimes she can be a little pitchy but that is really rare.

Power ballad doesn’t suit her as she is not a typical belter like Kelly Clarkson,Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston.As i said before she has a problem reaching the high note but i think with proper training she’ll be there in no time.

Not only slow songs ,she sings upbeat songs with great presence and has her Diva-ness shows,which is good.

One more thing , she’s absolutely GORGEOUS.She is the most beautiful AI contestant i’ve ever seen.Her classic look has charm many people,male or female.There was a rumour about George Clooney offering her a part in his movie but i’m not sure if thats true.Anyone agree that she looks like a young Catherina-Zeta-Jones?

Taylor Hicks

  Taylor Hicks is a singer with an old soul.He reminds you of some singer back in the 50’s or 60’s .Taylor is actually very talented,he has a band and they’ve already released 2 CD’s before AI.I’ve listen to them before,very good music.Mostly a mix of Soul,Pop and Rock.

  Exactly the opposite of Katharine,Taylor is best with his upbeat,danceable tunes. When he sings them he would this crazy dance,when i first saw it i thought it was weird.His bluesy,whisky vocals also make him stand out but he’s range are very limited.Don’t be mistaken, this guy here can really sing.If he just stand there and sing his heart out he does sound really good.

  Although Taylor is a little off in the looks department but his powerful stage presence and charm has won millions of fans over.He is someting special in AI,of all the 5 seasons there haven’t been a guy that is similar to him.He offers something fresh to the music industry,which needs them.

Kat Pack vs Soul Patrol (the names of their fanbase).

My pick,Taylor Hicks.I’m a Kat Packer but i think he’ll be taking home the crown of AI.Why? He has never been in the Bottom 3 before,thanks to his rabid fans who vote like crazy every week.Plus he already has a huge fanbase before the competition.Furthermore he performed better than Katharine at the finals.

  Katharine do have a chance to grab the crown from him.She has already beaten Taylor before.One time she was at the Top2 but Taylor wasn’t.So it can happen again this time.It all depends on her McPhans which i assure you are a bunch of devoted people (i know them).

  Am i right? I hope not,i want Kat to win but if she doesn’t i’m fine with it as the runner-up also gets a record deal.I’ll be waiting for her album.It’s about 11.30pm here in Malaysia and in US they will know the result in 9 hours or so.We have to wait for another 18 hours here in Malaysia.Actually last time i used to find out the result online but i think i’m not going to that this time.

So after 18 hours you’ll know whether my predictions are correct.

hey guys,long time no post,getting lazy lately.

It was my birthday yesterday,nothing special happened.As usual, i received a lot of messanges wishing me happie-bday, my parents asked me what i want,i said cash!! LOL. My brother called me ,you know what he said? "I left your present in KL,go there if you have time."    -_-"

i’m sixteen this year,still a annoying little brat as usual.I can’t deny that this few years i’ve learnt a lot of things about life, maybe not everything about life (no one knows everything about life anyways) but i’m aware that things have changed a lot. Those things that seem to be so important last time seems so laughable now.Exactly the opposite those things that i didn’t care before have caught my attention and i’m learning to appreciate them more and more everyday.Life’s simple pleasures are always the best.Some friends will notice that i’ve changes lately.Some say i’m getting crazier and crazier each day.Some say i’m being cold to them (thats the funniest thing i’ve ever heard,haha). I admit i do have very extreme emotions, i can be VERY happy or VERY sad. I think i must learn to control that or i’ll be like a phsycho.

1)Study:

If this is not in my list the sky would fall,hehe.In Form,everything is getting much much harder.Plus you have so many other things to worry about.Its hard to find a balance between.I’m getting lazy lately,exam is just around the corner.I know i can do better than this,i’m still trying,i hope i can turn around before its too late.

2)Friends:

ahhh friends,i once thought they would be my everything.They’re not but still i love them to death.Without them i would go crazy,seriously.I’ve learnt to appreciate the friends around me more now, you know there are always someone that have always supported but you didn’t notice. They are not necessarily your best friend or from your ‘gang’ but they have always been there .I treasure them more now, instead of trying to turn myself into someone that i don’t want to be.

3)Love:

I was thinking whether to put this in my list or not.Since its a part of teenage life, i decided to.Love,what is it anyway? Adult would laugh if they hear a teenager talking about love.The truth we are not ENTIRELY CLUELESS about it you know.All i have to say is "If you wish to venture into the realm of love,be ready cause sooner or later ou will bew hurt" .Don’t go saying "my love with him/her will last forever" no one and i mean NO ONE knows for sure.Just go where fate takes you,what happens happens.Don’t go killing yourself,that is just plain stupidity in action.Well ,how’s my love life you say? I’m as single as ever,haha.I’m not going into "LoveWorld" anytime soon.Someday maybe but not now. Or i’m just saying that because nobody wants me? Maybe yes,maybe no. LOL.

4)Dreams/Ambitions:

Life after school,i’ve been thinking about that a lot now.I do have a plan for at least 4 or 5 years from now.Have a backup one too just in case (am i crazy) . You can’t predict what would happen so even if you have 1000 plans you still won’t have everything go your way.I do have my dreams,i hope i can live my dream.Currently i’m starting to steer my own life a little bit at a time towards my goal.Will i reach it,i’m not sure. To all my friends,if you have dreams, go after it only IF you are confident enough.Not many people can live their dreams,sorry if you feel discouraged but this is true.Life tends to knock you off where your going. You’ll reach a different place but there will be something good there too.There’s something good everywhere.I promise.
